  • For the recreational divisions, rosters must be approved by sport commissioner.

  • Women will not be allowed to swing Ultra bats.
  • Please direct all questions regarding rules and tournament format to the Sport Commissioner.
  • Click here for Shawnee County Parks and Recreation Code of Conduct and Rueger Park Guidelines. Teams agree to follow these rules and guidelines by registering for the tournament.
  • Tournament format will be bracket play only. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games.
  • In case of weather delays, SSG staff reserves the right to alter tournament format and schedule. Bracket Fill Policy applies.
  • Each team will be required to provide lineup cards, and balls for play.  Please have more than one ball on hand for play if a ball gets hit over the fence (fair or foul) or is not allowed for play.  Coed must provide the same, but also one legal ball for men and one legal ball for women. Please click here for allowable bats and balls by USSSA.
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals awarded to the top three teams in each age division. Trophy awarded to the first place team in each division.

NOTE:

Rec teams are composed of average players who can hit, run, and throw with some proficiency, appreciate competition, play hard but play for fun and enjoyment.  These are teams that “overall” don’t have players who are “over the fence home run hitters.”  Men’s Rec and Co-ed Rec will be allowed 2 Home Runs, then follow the 1 Up Progressive Rule, all additional home runs will be considered a walk. If you have B, C or D players, your team should be in the “USSSA Sanctioned Open” division.
