TIME:  Please consult starting times below.

FEE:  $30 per person. Includes up to three events (Singles, Doubles, or Mixed Doubles). For Doubles, each partner must register and pay separately.

REGISTRATION:  Registration will open March 1st.  Online registration only.

DEADLINE:  Friday, July 1st at 6pm.  The deadline will not be extended.  See below for late entries.

LATE ENTRIES:  Late registrations accepted with a $5 late fee at the commissioner's discretion.

T-SHIRTS:  Commemorative t-shirts will only be distributed to participants who register prior to the posted deadline.

  • Friday, July 8:  Age Groups 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
    • Check-in/Warm-up:  5:00 p.m.
    • Competition: 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 9:  Age Groups 20-29 & 30-39
    • Check-in/Warm-up:  30 minutes prior to the start of the times listed below.
    • 20-29 Age Group: 8:30 a.m.
    • 30-39 Age Group: Noon

Please note: starting times are approximate only and will depend on the number of entries.


  • Events include Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
  • Divisions include 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
  • Competitors are required to provide their own rackets. Shuttlecocks will be provided.
  • Badminton players with physical disabilities are invited to participate subject to classification (wheelchair, limb deficits, short stature) into groups depending on entries.
  • Eye protection is highly recommended, especially for those not wearing glasses.
  • Play will be conducted on four courts in an air-conditioned gymnasium.
  • If requested, the commissioner will assign doubles partners if possible.
  • The age division of competition for Doubles and Mixed Doubles will be determined by the age of the younger of the two partners except in the case of 9 & Under, 10-14, & 15-19 year old participants. Age determination for all participants is July 1st.
  • Women may play with more than one Mixed Doubles partner, however, only one partner per age group. Please contact Sport commissioner if you are interested.
  • Depending on the number of entries, age groups may be modified. A true double elimination format will not always be possible. Bronze medal will be decided between the losing semi-finalists. Consolation brackets will be run.
  • With the aim of officiating all matches, those not actively in a match are requested to Umpire, Line Judge or update the draws. 
  • Play will be in accordance with USA Badminton rules, in line with International rules of rally scoring and 21-point games (extended at 20-all to a 2-point winning margin, in no case beyond a score of 30). A USA Badminton National Umpire will be available. For complete rules visit the Badminton World Federation.
  • This is a USA Badminton sanctioned event.
  • There will be no official lunch break, however players/families may use the lobby area for refreshments that they bring or share.
