EVENT
COMPETITION FORMAT:
This race is sanctioned by the American Bicycle Association as a single point race. Non-members are allowed to ride in this event. Riders will be divided into classes by following the ABA guidelines. Classes start at five years of age and under and work up to 28 years of age and over. It takes a minimum of three riders to make a moto. Girl riders will race other girls when possible. If not enough girls are available to make a class, they will be moved into the boys class.
NOTE:
Riders must be able to ride without training wheels. All bikes will have to pass a safety inspection. Bikes are not allowed to have pegs, chain guards, kickstands, bracket reflectors, water bottle brackets, or baskets. Bike pads are suggested on the handlebars. Stem and top tube, grips, and bar end plugs must cover handlebar ends. Bikes will be divided into Class (20” or smaller wheels) and Cruiser (24” wheels). Mountain bikes are accepted. Riders are required to wear long pants (waist to ankle), long sleeved shirts (short sleeved shirts with elbow pads accepted), closed toe shoes and a proper fitting helmet. NO EXCEPTIONS! Complete rules and regulations can be found online at www.ababmx.com.
