COURSE AND RACE INFORMATION:
- 2013 SSG Road Race 5K Course Map
- 2013 SSG Road Race 10K Course Map
- The race will begin and end at Reynold's Lodge on the east side of Lake Shawnee.
- The course will loop one time around Tinman Circle then head south past the Campground into the beautiful neighborhoods just east of Lake Shawnee. Roadways will be used (not the trail system).
- Chip timing will be used.
- No headsets, strollers, baby joggers, bikes, rollerblades, dogs, or motorized vehicles are allowed on the course.
- Medals and age groups awards provided by Garry Gribble's Running Sports will be distributed to winners at the post event award ceremony.
- Trophies awarded to the top overall male and female in the 5K and 10K run.
- Medals and awards must be picked up after the race and will not be mailed.
KIDS FUN RUN sponsored by:
The Kids Fun Run will be 1K and will begin upon conclusion of the 5K/10K run at approximately 9:15 a.m. The fun run is a free event for kids 10 and under only. All fun run participants will recieve a Sunflower State Games medal. Registration will take place on-site only.
RACE DAY:
The Hy-Vee Athlete Festival will highlight the Road Race with games and food for the athletes and spectators from 7:00-10:00 a.m. Click here for more information.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet Pick-up will take place at Garry Gribble's Running Sports located at 2130 SW Wanamaker Rd in Topeka on Friday, July 12 from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
